Initiating a dynamic and promising platform for the fashion industry in Tanzania, the Swahili Fashion Week is a coming together of talented designers from across the country under one stand to showcase their unique and truly African creations.
This is not only a potential point for existing designers but also an opportune moment for upcoming aspiring designers in the country.Starting this year as a two day event, the Swahili Fashion Week will be spread over November 5th & 6th at the Diamond Jubilee Hall in Dar es Salaam. The two days will be fashionably action packed with established designers showcasing their ensembles on day 1 and aspiring designers making waves on day 2. What’s more? Not only will the event be at par with globally acclaimed fashion weeks but for the first time Face of Africa Models 2008 will strut the ramp ride in Dar es Salaam on November 5th; celebrating the spirit of the Swahili Fashion week truly unveiling what makes Africa beautiful.
