Zaidi creations range on the 1st Swahili Fashion week 2008 was of BLACK color outfits mixed up with other bright color from leather like and Kitenge materials. why Black? 2008 was a hell of a year to me, i lost my dear darling caring sister Halima, RIP and my ever-funny loving father George, RIP. Am still mourning!

I like your leather and khanga creations. But I don't see black as a colour of mourning. I only wear black and have been wearing only blach for the past 10 years - ans I am not mourning. If anything I am as happy I can get.
Black is the color of authority and power. It is very popular in fashion. It is also stylish and timeless.
