Congrats

Kind of old news, but met this couple just few days to their wedding, I couldn't help but love them. Knew the husband from screen as I was growing up, loved to watch his music programs on ITV, he still has that charming character as I can remember. And for the Wife, I made her kitchen party dress, so is her matron, mother, sisters and a good number of her guests. She knew what she wants, and she was on point. Hongereni sana Sunday and Elinitha!
Coming to the wedding, I had a pressure or sorry meant to write pleasure of dressing these four bridesmaids. They looked gorgeous, Red never lie!

Zaidi in London

My go getter, my daughter, my friend, my Subilaga!
Who could ever thought (among my friends) that it will be Subby who will represent Zaidi in the UK, But she did. Thank you my Subby for choosing Zaidi Africa in your last day at the conference in London. Looking beautiful and Classy my girl!
Its Kanga, mixed with bridal satin for decoration at the neckline and waistline...
For this skinny model, only one kanga of the two in a pair was used, LOL!

Diamonds are ForNever

Its not a typo 'ForNever' mimi tena? Aku!
That is what Zaidi was presented with at the Diamond are Forever Concert.. Disappointed with a number of things, but very happy to see my Chillah back, it counted for something.
Back to the dresses, made out of extremely stretched materials, made them in less than three hours not so proud of that, but got the ticket late and I had to have a new dress for the day, so I made that one, Same was my Tashy girl dress, she came and found the material on the table, after the shower and make up, the dress was ready.
Zaidi can attend to you emergencies as well, Karibu.

The More Factor

As am wearing a lot of my own creations these days, thought of being my own Model, how about that? Love me? I sure do love myself.
The Zaidi Kitenge Jumpsuit I design to wear at work because most of the time at work I wear Zaidi dresses, so I wanted to be different and have the More Factor. Accessorized  it with the new trendy slim belt.
The Kitenge was among wedding presents, I don't know who sent it, but I love the pattens especially for it not being all flowery, It kind make me look taller, whoever sent it, Asante Sana.

Women Celebration

I just love this year's women day theme:
"Connecting girls aspiring future".
To have a responsible and accountable woman, it has to start when she is just a girl, this girl need to understand herself at the early age, what is expected of her and what she is up against. To have a more power in over coming the negativity she is facing and creating the positive attitude  and environment, she needs to be connected with fellow girls. And that is the job that formal girls and women of today need to do, and that by action, to show them that women CAN have and do whatever she set her mind to, and that we are behind them all the way, each at our confide areas of specialization.
With that note to the account, I have tried to show that in the collection I showcased at the Women Celebration organized by Shamim and Khadija. I used Kanga (dress code) and pleats chiffon material (the in thing right now) to have pieces that present a Corporate African Lady, woman with a career.

Proud to be a Woman, an African Woman!

Bi Mzuri

She is my best friend and such a loyal customer, she makes me love my designs. She has an eye for beautiful things and very daring when it comes to fashion, nothing from the space though, the wearable is in the point.
She speaks very ladylike, you can never hear her shouts, cause she knows her style and beauty speaks for her louder than she would have.
She is Bi Mzuri for real!
That is just Kanga and Kitenge for you and she rocked it at work,
She makes me feel so proud of what i know to do best.
